MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) recorded over 147,000 passengers in all ports nationwide on Maundy Thursday.
In line with PCG’s report, a complete of 147,829 passengers have been monitored from 12 p.m. to six p.m.
From this determine, 72,174 are outbound passengers whereas 75,655 are inbound passengers.

PCG added that 4,775 deployed personnel inspected 666 vessels and 1,150 motor bancas in 16 PCG districts.
“The seafaring public can coordinate with PCG by way of its official Fb web page or the Coast Guard Public Affairs Service (0927-560-7729) for inquiries, considerations, and clarifications concerning sea journey protocols and laws throughout the Holy Week,” PCG mentioned in its report.
The PCG famous that its districts, stations, and sub-stations have been positioned on heightened alert to handle the inflow of passengers at ports from April 13 to April 20, 2025.

The Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) on Wednesday mentioned that the variety of passengers in seaports nationwide may exceed the sooner projected 1.7 million. PPA Spokesperson Eunice Samonte shared that 800,000 port passengers have been recorded as of Wednesday.
