A Retailer Showcasing Conventional and Modern Portuguese Design

“We consider objects can inform extraordinary and revealing tales. A few folks and its explicit style, a few society and its context, a few historical past which is, in spite of everything, a standard id,” writes Catarina Portas. A Vida Portuguesa, the Lisbon and Puerto emporium she based, showcases “real and touching merchandise of Portuguese creation.” The choices vary from family instruments to textiles, from the very humble to the flowery, and likewise, of late, from the normal to the modern.

The latter is showcased in A Vida Portuguesa’s latest retailer in Lisbon, Depozito, based in partnership with Portugal Handbook, a collective of latest Portuguese artisans and artists. Says Portas, “Depozito is a celebration of custom and its reinvention.” Be a part of us for a go searching.
