
In Heemstede, simply south of Haarlem in North Holland, a former seminary initially constructed by Jan Stuyt in 1923 was transformed into luxurious residences by Stijlgroep in 2007—all minus the chapel which was chilly, humid, and darkish with excessive ceilings. “Not many individuals noticed the potential to remodel the chapel into a pleasant and intimate residing area,” says Matthijs van Cruijsen who, together with Ina Meijer, based Ina-Matt, a design and structure follow primarily based in Pingjum. With a background reworking massive, outdated farms in North Holland, Ina-Matt was excellent for the duty.
