CEBU CITY, Philippines — Cebuano weightlifter John Dexter Tabique leads a three-man Philippine squad within the Singapore Weightlifting Competition 2025, which takes place this Sunday, June 15.
Tabique, a bronze medalist within the 2023 Southeast Asian Video games and a varsity standout from the College of Cebu (UC), will compete within the males’s 98-kilogram division. He’s accompanied by his coach, Olympian Ramon Solis.
Becoming a member of him in Singapore are Boholano lifter Dave Pacaldo and Zamboanga’s Elaika Lozada. Pacaldo, a three-time gold medalist within the Non-public Faculties Athletic Affiliation (PRISAA) Nationwide Video games, is at the moment competing within the males’s 65kg class.
